What this session covers
From reading the scene to finishing the file.
Send a current body of work, plans for an upcoming shoot, or a folder of unfinished images. I review it before we meet, then recommend the session length, format, and preparation that suit the problem.
How I Photograph
We begin with the scene: where you stand, what the light is doing, when to wait, and when direction will help. Then we test those choices against the photographs you are trying to make.
- Reading a scene: light, timing, and when to wait versus when to shoot
- Directing subjects for documentary work versus posed portrait and editorial work
- Building a visual story across a full shoot, not just a single frame
How I Retouch
Using your files, we move through selection, color, retouching, and export. Each adjustment has a reason, and you leave with a sequence you can repeat on the rest of the work.
- Selecting and grading from raw: what stays, what goes, and why
- Color and skin work that holds up without losing realism
- Building a consistent, repeatable finishing style across a shoot
